Lavender Sky

I lift my head

and release my mind

onto the revelry above

it’s one of a kind

sky and stream

lost in my thought

awaking every part of you

that I brought .

The blue and the purple

smile at the dawn light

they dance and they swirl

the sky is alight

I wish I could hold them

the sky and the stream

to put under your pillow

so they’ll colour your dream.

The clouds tell a story

in the heavens they see

beyond the continents

beyond the turquoise sea

two paths converge

somewhere in time

you’ll get what is yours

I’ll get what is mine.

So when the breeze greets you

ride it and find

your fears have left

the past is behind

and when the stars sleep

and the storm bids goodbye

I’ll meet you at the edge

of this lavender sky.
